Delete your account

You can delete your Daily+ account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page exists because both app stores require a publicly reachable deletion route, and because you should be able to read what deletion means before you commit to it.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your Daily+ account does NOT cancel a store subscription — the subscription belongs to your Apple ID or Google Play account, not to us. Cancel it there first, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.

From inside the app

  1. Open Daily+ and go to Settings.
  2. Open Privacy.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm twice. You will then be asked to verify with your device (Face ID, fingerprint or passcode, where available), because an account deletion triggered by someone who picked up your unlocked phone would be worse than the inconvenience.

Open Settings → Privacy in the app

That link only works on a device with Daily+ installed. On a desktop, follow the written steps instead.

By email

Write to the privacy address from the email address on the account and ask for deletion. We may ask you to confirm control of that address first — not to obstruct you, but because acting on an unverified erasure request would itself be a data breach. We complete verified requests within 30 days.

If you never made an account

Then we hold nothing to delete. Your data is in the app’s local database and is removed when you delete the app, or immediately via Settings → Privacy → Delete all data.

What is deleted

Everything keyed to your account on our servers is erased. If you also want the copy on your device gone, delete the app or use Delete all data — deletion of the account does not reach into your phone.

  • Your account identity: email address, name, password hash and every active session.
  • Everything you synced: logs, workouts, nutrition, sleep, body measurements and anything else held server-side.
  • Your household memberships, and content you shared into a household.
  • Posts, comments, likes and challenge participation.
  • The audit records of your AI requests.
  • Your subscription state on our side.

What is kept, and why

Two things survive deletion, both because the law requires them, and both reduced to the minimum needed.

  • Billing records, for the statutory accounting retention period. Identifiers within them are anonymised so they cannot be traced back to you.
  • Security logs that already existed at the moment of deletion, which roll off on their normal 30-day schedule.

How long it takes

  • Immediately: the deletion is scheduled. Your account stays usable for a 7-day grace period.
  • After the 7-day grace period: your sessions end, the account can no longer be used to sign in, and server-side personal data is erased within 30 days.
  • Within a further 35 days: backups containing it roll off, after which no copy remains.

Can it be undone?

You can cancel in Settings → Privacy at any point during the 7-day grace period, and the account carries on as before. Once the grace period ends and deletion has run, it cannot be undone and we cannot get the data back for you. Export first if you might want it.

Take your data with you

Run the export in Settings → Privacy before you delete. It is available on every plan and produces a file you keep.
